Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the director duo of animated adventure comedy film "The Lego Movie", are reportedly heading to write a sequel to the film.
Lord and Miller, who wrote and directed "The Lego Movie", have been signed on to script the sequel for Warner Bros., reports hollywoodreporter.com.
The next film in the "Lego" franchise will be "Ninjago", which is being scheduled for a Sep 23, 2016, release.
Warner Bros. is also eyeing a 2017 release for its in-development "Lego Batman" spinoff.
However, it is not yet known if the director duo will direct the sequel.
