Disney India has inked a multi-year output deal with Star India to showcase some of its hit films across Star India's TV network in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali.

Over the years, collaboration between Disney India and the Star India Television Network has engaged audiences with blockbuster movies like Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Winter Soldier", Disney.Pixar's "Inside Out" and Disney's "Cinderella".

The new deal will include titles like "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", "Moana" and "Doctor Strange".

The extended partnership kicked off with the television premiere of this year's highest grossing Hollywood blockbuster in India, Disney's "The Jungle Book".

"We believe in bringing quality, family focused entertainment to audiences across all age groups and Star is an ideal platform for us to take our fantastic bouquet of movies to viewers across the country and give them the chance to revisit their beloved stories," Amrita Pandey, Vice President, Studios, Disney India, said in a statement.

Amit Chopra, CEO-Entertainment, Star India, said that "this partnership with Disney India is a testimony of our commitment to deliver the best Hollywood content to our viewers across the nation".
