Two people were arrested here for stabbing two others to death, police said Wednesday.
Police said Sushant Sehgal, 21, and Aakash Gupta, 22, murdered Devender, 35, and Sonu, 26, in the Gandhi Nagar area of east Delhi around 8.20 p.m. Tuesday for demanding the money they had loaned to the accused a few months ago.
"Just after the incident, 10 police teams were formed and the accused were arrested from the Geeta Colony area in east Delhi late Tuesday night," said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ajay Kumar.
The accused told police they had taken loan from the victims a few months ago but could not pay back the same on the due date.
"There was a dispute over returning the loaned money, which took an ugly turn Tuesday night and the accused killed them," said the officer.
