Arko Pravo Mukherjee, who has written, composed and sung the song "Dariya" for forthcoming film "Baar Baar Dekho", says it's very easy to get lost in the Bollywood music industry as there is a huge volume of music coming out these days.
Having churned out music for films "Kapoor and Sons", "Rustom", "Hate Story 2", "Jazbaa" and "Jism 2", Arko says that an artist's main struggle is to "stay true to his identity".
"If your songs are really good and the people like your music, then it is not really difficult to get work. However, its very easy to get lost because there is a huge volume of music which is coming out," Mukherjee told IANS.
"Ideally, any artist's main struggle is to stay true to his identity. I constantly remind myself to remember who I am as an artist because my music is what speaks for me to others. People know about me through my work. I am very careful about my identity as a singer or songwriter," he added.
"Baar Baar Dekho", which is set to release on Friday, is Nitya Mehra's directorial debut and features Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
Its a romantic drama film, which unfolds through intermittent flashbacks.
