Power management company Eaton on Thursday displayed its new medium-duty clutch transmission that enables the vehicle engine to consume less fuel.
In a statement here, the company said it has introduced Procision, its new line of energy-efficient medium-duty clutch transmissions that delivers 8-10 percent better fuel economy than a similarly-equipped vehicle with a torque converter automatic.
"With proven fuel efficiency and low maintenance costs, Procision transmissions promise to deliver the lowest total cost of ownership for any medium-duty transmission in the commercial vehicle market today," Krishna Kumar Srinivasan, president of Eaton's Vehicle Group in Asia Pacific, was quoted as saying in the statement.
