In an overnight decision, the Election Commission has restrained the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from releasing its election manifesto Monday.
In a communication addressed to the PDP, the state's chief electoral officer (CEO) said that since campaigning for the first phase of the state assembly elections ended Sunday evening, the PDP cannot release its poll manifesto Monday.
PDP had announced Sunday evening that it would release its election manifesto in summer capital Srinagar Monday.
Election Commission sources said that the manifesto can, however, be released on November 26 after polling for the first phase ends Tuesday evening.
