A three-member Election Commission (EC) team on Wednesday began reviewing preparations for the September-October Bihar assembly polls here, an official said.
The EC team held a meeting here with all the district magistrates (DMs) and superintendents of police (SPs) in the state to review poll preparations of all agencies, including the police, for smooth conduct of the upcoming state assembly polls, officials said.
The meeting was chaired by deputy election commissioner Vinod Zutshi along with other EC officials.
"The meeting mainly discussed and reviewed the deployment of security forces and elaborate security arrangements and error-free electoral rolls for Bihar polls," an official said.
Zutshi told all the DMs and SPs that the upcoming electoral exercise would be a big challenge for them in ensuring free and fair elections.
