Phil Jones will miss England's final football match of 2013 against Germany due to an injury.
The Football Association (FA) confirmed Saturday that Jones picked up his injury during England's 0-2 defeat to Chile Friday evening, reports Xinhua.
"Following a scan today (Saturday), he has returned to his club," said FA in a statement.
The Manchester United defender was replaced by Chris Smalling before the hour in England's first warm-up for 2014 World Cup finals Friday.
Before him, Manchester United players Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck have already been ruled out of the two friendlies against Chile and Germany due to injury.
The Three Lions will face Germany Tuesday night at Wembley. It will be England's final match of this year.
