Fadnavis leaves for US, business tops agenda

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has left for a weeklong tour of the US with business topping the agenda, officials said here on Monday.

Accompanied by Industry Minister Subhash Desai, Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, Chief Secretary S. Kshatriya and other top officials, Fadnavis is also scheduled to address business meetings in New York, San Francisco and Detroit.

On the business front, the delegation will hold meetings with senior officials of Boeing, Microsoft, General Motors, Amazon, Google, Citibank, ISE, Apple, Blackstone, Bank of Americal OST, Turner International Symantec, and others.

He is expected to sign an agreement with Coca Cola, the soft drinks giant, and visit Boeing facilities.

Fadnavis will attend and address the 17th Brihan Maharashtra Mandal in Los Angeles next Saturday, which will attract over 4,000 Maharashtrian businessmen from the US and Canada.

He will also call on the governor of New Jersey, and address business meetings in all the cities of call in his itinerary.
