Dubai, May 13 (IANS/WAM) At least one person was killed on Saturday in a fire that broke out on a ship carrying petroleum products docked at a port in Sharjah.
Four people were injured in the fire that was extinguished in the afternoon at Sharjah's Al Hamriyah port.
Col. Sami Al Naqbi, Director-General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said that firefighters contained the fire within 40 minutes.
They also controlled the diesel from spilling into the sea and preventing any further pollution, said Col. Al Naqbi.
