Five killed in Bangladesh road accident

At least five people were killed Thursday and 15 others injured, when a bus collided with a truck and fell into a ditch in Mymensingh city of Bangladesh.

Abdullah Al Mamun, sub-inspector of Tarakanda police station, said the people who were killed have been identified as Belal Hossain, 50, Abdur Rahim, 50, Minto Miah, 48, Mizan, 47, and Majznu Miah, 45, of Sherpur district, The Daily Star reported.

The accident took place on the Mymensingh-Netrokona highway in the afternoon.

The injured people were admitted to a hospital.

The victims were going to Sherpur from Netrakona, the police official said.
