Highly rated Flamengo striker Hernane is set to join Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua in a deal worth 3.5 million euros, media reports said.
Hernane, who is understood to have been offered a monthly salary of 130,000 euros, is expected to sign with the club within days, Xinhua quoted newspaper O Globo as saying Tuesday.
He will be the second Brazilian to join Shanghai Shenhua in less than a month following the arrival of defender Paulo Andre from Corinthians.
According to reports, the Chinese outfit fended off interest from Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates, who also made an offer for the 27-year-old last month.
Hernane was Flamengo's leading scorer last season with 36 goals and has already netted four times from six matches in 2014.
