It was a foggy morning here on Wednesday with the minimum temperature recorded at 12 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average. The visibility stood at 500 metres.
Ten trains were cancelled, 13 delayed while one was rescheduled due to fog in the northern region.
"There will be shallow fog towards the evening, as well," an India Meteorological Department official said.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 21 degrees Celsius.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 93 per cent.
Tuesday's minimum temperature was recorded at 13.8 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average, and the maximum temperature settled at 27.7 degrees Celsius, two notches below the average.
