Folk dancers from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh gave a colourful touch Sunday to victory celebrations in and outside the BJP headquarters here.

Frenzied supporters distributed sweets, kept shouting slogans while waving party flags and danced merrily as it became clear that the party was set to retain Madhya Pradesh and capture Rajasthan from the Congress.

News that the Bharatiya Janata Party would also manage to retain Chhattisgarh despite a stiff Congress challenge only injected more merry making.

The BJP is also set to take power in Delhi after it relegated the Aam Aadmi Party to the second spot in a hard fought battle that crushed the Congress.
