After Ukrainian dance expert Maksim Chmerkovskiy's special appearance on celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7", Los Angeles-based choreographer Michael Schwandtl will be seen on the forthcoming show "India's Raw Star".

The singing show will introduce the concept of music choreography and Star Plus has roped in Schwandtl, who has worked with pop singers like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. He will work with the contestants to visually enhance their singing performance, read a statement.

The show also has sound engineer Ashish Manchanda, who has worked with late pop star Michael Jackson, on board.

Contenders from across India will battle it out to become "India's Raw Star". Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh will mentor them, while show will be hosted by model-actress Gauahar Khan.

"These are not just any contestants. They are already stars because of immense talent. I feel they are all original performers, and are already better than me," Honey Singh said in a statement.

"The talent on 'India's Raw Star' is unadulterated... I have tried my best to bring to you the best. It was a great experience to visit the homes of some of these contestants and pick them up as one of the top 10 for the show," he added.

The weekly show will launch Aug 24.
