Former sarpanch shot dead in J&K
A former sarpanch (village headman) was shot dead by militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Monday evening, police said
Militants fired at Muhammad Ramban Sheikh in Imam Sahib area of Shopian, a police officer said, adding he was removed to hospital in a critical condition where doctors declared him dead.
