At least four people were killed in an avalanche in Nepal's Mustang district, officials said Wednesday.

The avalanche killed two Polish, one Israeli and one Nepalese citizen, Xinhua reported.

The process of recovering the dead bodies is under way, officials said.

The army has also rescued 38 tourists from the area after the situation worsened due to heavy snowfall.

In the wake of the cyclone Hudhud, the central and western parts of Nepal have experienced heavy rainfall accompanied by hailstorms in the past few days.
