Putting rest to speculations, Mumbai City FC coach Peter Reid Saturday ruled out risking his 'marquee' player, former Arsenal star Fredrik Ljungberg against Atletico de Kolkata (ATK)in the ISL opener here.
One of the biggest names of the Indian Super League, Ljungberg is carrying a niggling injury he suffered during practice.
"I don't want to take any chances. If he aggravates his injury, we may not get him for the entire tournament. It's difficult but we are in good frame of mind and looking forward to the start of the tournament," Reid said ahead of the Sunday match.
The Mumbai team will also miss the services of French star Nicolas Anelka who is serving a ban for making a controversial gesture while playing in the English Premier League (EPL).
Talking about the ISL opener, Reid said it will be a good contest and insisted his team was not under any kind of pressure.
