Turkish football club Galatasaray have agreed with Eskisehirspor to sign the 22-year-old midfielder Alper Potuk.
Former league champions Galatasaray are close to clinching the league title this season with a seven-point advantage over their closest opponent, Fenerbahce, with three weeks left to the end of the season, reports Xinhua.
It was reported Wednesday the Istanbul club will pay 5 million euros to Eskisehirspor, another club in the Turkish Super League, in transfer fees to acquire the rising star and two of its players.
Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim has reportedly been eyeing Potuk for his squad since last season. Eskisehirspor chairman Halil Unal said that Galatasaray has long been interested in acquiring Potuk and that both clubs are close to reaching an agreement.
