Indicted for "unwelcome behaviour" by a probe panel, former Supreme Court judge A. K. Ganguly Friday lost his cool and shouted at reporters seeking his comments on the alleged sexual harassment issue.
"Don't disturb me...Don't disturb me. I have tolerated enough," a visibly angry Ganguly told reporters outside his house here.
A three-member committee of sitting judges of the Supreme Court, which probed the charges of sexual harassment, held that the "statement of (victim) both written and oral, prima facie discloses an act of unwelcome behaviour (unwelcome verbal/non-verbal conduct of sexual nature) by Justice (retd.) A.K. Ganguly with her in the room in hotel Le Meridien".
The incident took place Dec 24, 2012.
Following the indictment, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote to President Pranab Mukherjee urging appropriate action against the former Supreme Court judge for his "grave misconduct".
The ruling Trinamool Congress also demanded Ganguly's resignation from the West Bengal Human Rights Commission.
