Producer Ekta Kapoor, who is coming up with a new show "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi", which marks the comeback of Gauri Pradhan Tejwani, says the actress will plays a character too practical in life.

Gauri became a popular face after featuring as the female lead in Ekta's show "Kutumb".

Ekta of Balaji Telefilms says while Gauri has only played positive roles till now, she would be seen as a character, bordering on the negative.

"Gauri is a brilliant actor...I am honoured that she is working with me again. I think it's an interesting character, it's different from what Gauri has done all these years on TV.

"She has a very pretty face so she has been given classically positive roles. I won't say this is a negative role, but I wouldn't classify it as a completely white character (either)," the 39-year-old said here Monday at the launch of the show.

Elaborating on Gauri's character, Ekta added: "She has a lot of edges, she plays a woman who is overtly practical. People can even call her stone-hearted because she gives importance to her mind and not her heart.

"She wants her daughters be like that, look pretty and marry right, marry not through heart but brain."

"Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi", to be aired on Colors, also features actor Shakti Arora as Ranveer and new actress Radhika Madan. The show will goes on air June 24.
