Kingston, Jan 23 (IANS/CMC) Flamboyant West Indies opener Chris Gayle made his first competitive appearance since picking up a hamstring injury during a tour of India last November.
Gayle took part in the first of two warm-up matches for Jamaica in preparation for next week's start of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB)'s Super50 tournament in Trinidad and Tobago.
He returned from Australia last week where he underwent treatment and rehabilitation and was set to captain Jamaica against a Best of The Rest team at Sabina Park.
