The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) Monday passed a proposal to sanction the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), an official said.

The MoU is to be signed for the Metro's upcoming Dilshad Garden to New Bus Stand route.

Though the proposal for signing the MoU has been sent for clearance to the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, its approval was mandatory from the GDA, its official R.P. Pandey said at a press conference after the board meeting.

A budget of Rs.3,051 crore for the GDA for the current financial year was also cleared.
