Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav ordered the suspension of the chief engineer of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) late Saturday.
B.R. Yadav was suspended following several charges of irregularities were levelled against him.
The suspension came into effect immediately. A probe has been ordered against the official.
Yadav was attached to the head office of the Aawas Bandhu in Lucknow.
