A 15-year-old girl was killed in a cloudburst in Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Thursday, police officials said.
Cloudbursts hit Gangangir and Sonamarg areas in the evening, inundating houses, according to police officials.
An official said: "The girl was washed away by flash floods in Kulan village of the district. Her body was recovered."
Some vehicles were also washed away, a police officer said, adding that they were waiting for details.
The areas hit by cloudbursts were on the north Kashmir route to Amarnath Yatra base camp at Baltal, but the authorities said all pilgrims were safe.
