Ghaziabad, April 23 (IANS) A CBI investigator told a court here Tuesday that they could not recover the blood-stained clothes of teenager Aarushi's father and suspect Rajesh Talwar and a golf club which he allegedly used for killing her and their help Hemraj.

Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) investigating officer (IO) A.G.L Kaul, during his cross-examination, hinted that Talwar disposed off the blood-stained clothes and the golf club to destroying evidence against himself.

The IO told Special Judge S. Lal that Talwar after allegedly hitting them with the golf club used a surgical instrument to inflict suts on the necks of his daughter and domestic help to make it doubly sure that the injured victims bled to death.

The hearing would continue Wednesday.

Earlier April 16, the IO had said that on the basis of the circumstancial evidence he was convinced that Talwar and his wife Nupur, both dentists, killed their daughter.

Defence lawyer Manoj Shishodia, who cross-examined Kaul, said the IO presented a contradictory detail of the chain of events on the double murder when the CBI earlier filed a closure report in court.

He claimed the closure report said the clothes that Talwar was wearing were found to be carrying stains of Aarushi's blood but no stains of Hemraj's blood.

The defence lawyer claimed that the CBI closure report was full of lapses and contradictions.

Aarushi, 14, was found murdered at her parents' Noida residence May 16, 2008. The body of Hemraj was found the next day on the terrace of the house.
