Separatist guerrillas killed a youth in Kashmir's Baramulla district Tuesday, police said.
Two militants wielding AK-47 rifles barged into a house in Cherihar (in Sopore) forest area village around 11 p.m. Tuesday, and started shooting Muhammad Iqbal Khan, 22, at point blank range, a senior police officer said.
"The youth died on the spot after two militants with AK-47 rifles barged into his house and fired at him indiscriminately from point blank range," he said.
"An FIR has been registered in the incident at Bomai police station in Sopore police district and investigations have been started," the police officer said.
It is not clear whether the slain youth was affiliated with any political party or guerrilla outfit, police said.
