Haryana pilgrim dies at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine

A pilgrim from Haryana collapsed and died on Saturday at the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said.

"A pilgrim named Rajiv Bhatia, aged 40, son of Narayan Dass Bhatia, resident of Karnal (Haryana) suddenly fell unconscious near the Bhairon Temple at the shrine. He was immediately taken to the temple dispensary where doctors declared him dead," a senior police officer told IANS here.

More than 10 million pilgrims from different parts of the country and abroad visit the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine every year.
