With the generation of 72,52,880 Aadhaar cards, Himachal Pradesh has become the sixth state in the country to achieve 100 per cent Aadhaar saturation, an official said on Sunday.
The other five states are Delhi, Telangana, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh, a spokesperson for the state Information Technology Department said.
"In order to maintain 100 per cent Aadhaar saturation, we have deployed 780 tablets through Anganwari workers to cover 0-5 age group in the state and 250 tablets will be deployed through health institutions to cover new born babies," he said.
