Himachal CM, governor greet people on Diwali

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and Governor Urmila Singh Thursday greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali.

The chief minister expressed hope that Diwali may shower enlightenment on the people and would bring prosperity, besides strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and unity.

He advised people to celebrate the festival in a traditional way.

The governor said the festival of lights symbolises joy, happiness and celebrates victory of good over evil and light over darkness.

The council of ministers and the chief parliamentary secretaries also greeted the people.
