German defender Benedikt Howedes believes that his side can deal with the absence of his teammates Mats Hummels, Mario Gomez and Sami Khedira, in addition to the doubtful participation of captain Bastian Schweinsteiger, in the semi-final against European football championship hosts, France, on Thursday.
The defender told newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine on Wednesday that the Mannschaft has to resolve the situation with the rest of the squad and he thinks Germany can do so, reports Efe.
Howedes, who played in the quarter-finals against Italy, could appear on Thursday against France instead of Hummels.
The injury of Gomez may lead to the return of Mario Gotze as a starter, while Khedira can be replaced either with Schweinsteiger or Julian Weigl.
