The new administrator of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) Anita Yadav Friday ordered that excess enhancement charges levied upon allottees of plots in Sector 52 Gurgaon be returned, an official said.
A few months ago, Punjab and Haryana High Court had reduced the enhancement amount payable by 1,485 allottees by Rs.1870.69 per square metre. This means an allottee of around 600 square metre plot will get a refund of around Rs.10 lakh.
The plot holders were running from pillar to post to get the refund of their excess amount paid to HUDA. They had met estate officer and other staff of HUDA many times but to no avail.
Some of the aggrieved plot holders met the administrator Thursday who immediately ordered for the refund of excess amount and all formalities were completed in only one day.
The estate office will start processing the refunds to these allottees soon.
