A late strike by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and a couple of saves by goalkeeper Andre Onana handed Ajax Amsterdam a 2-1 away win at FC Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie here.
FC Groningen scored first through an early goal by Tom van Weert during Sunday evening's match. The hosts failed to double their lead when Onana saved a penalty, reports Xinhua news agency.
Thanks to Onana, Ajax stayed in the match and after Justin Kluivert headed in the equaliser and Ajax defender Joel Veltman received a red card, Huntelaar struck in the 89th minute to hand Ajax the win.
