Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who believes in method acting, Thursday said he would do Hollywood films if the role offered is not cliched and is substantial in length.
Siddiqui is known for his roles in films like "Kahaani", "Talaash" and "Gangs of Wasseypur". If given a chance to work in Hollywood, he would not make the jump just for the sake of it.
"I would like to do a bigger role in Hollywood films...I hope I don't get to play bit parts. Other actors who do Hollywood movies jump at the opportunity, but their roles turn out to be small. I would like roles which are not cliched," Siddiqui told mediapersons here while promoting his forthcoming films "Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa" and " Mountain Man".
"I select films based on the length...not on the depth of the character because I believe I can bring out the depth in any character," he added.
In Bengali filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta's "Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa", slated to release after the festive season, Siddiqui will be seen portraying a small time detective. He stars opposite National Award winning actress Ananya Chatterjee.
The film has made it to the British Film Institute's London Film Festival that started Wednesday and will run till Oct 20.
"Film festivals are a great way to see other kinds of cinema. I like watching films from across the world, particularly Korean," said Siddiqui, whose last release "The Lunchbox" bagged the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
