India A cricket tri-series rescheduled

The league match between Australia A and South Africa A, which was rescheduled to be played on Tuesday, has been postponed to August 12.

A few South African players had taken ill due to food poisoning and had to be hospitalised on August 9. Although they have now been discharged from hospital, they have requested a day's rest, according to bcci.tv.

"All the 10 players have been discharged from the hospital and they are fit to play against Australia A," a South Africa A team official was quoted as saying by bcci.tv.

During their match against India A on August 9, South Africa A did not have enough fit players in the later stages of the game and the team's video analyst besides India A's Mandeep Singh had to field.

"With half of the squad going down ill overnight, South Africa was forced to play an ill-balanced starting XI that had only four frontline bowlers with the likes of Dean Elgar and Khaya Zondo to make up the rest of the overs," Cricket South Africa (CSA) had stated in a release earlier.

The revised schedule for the remaining matches of the triangular series is as follows:

August 12: Australia A vs South Africa A

August 13: India A vs South Africa A

August 14: Final
