A non-commissioned officer of the Indian Air Force here Saturday committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon, police said.
Anoop Kumar, 34, was posted at the Indian Air Force campus here at old Delhi road.
He shot himself twice on his chin.
Officerss on duty rushed to the spot after hearing the gunshots.
"He died on the spot. The post-mortem examination will be conducted later," a senior police officer told IANS.
The deceased hailed from Haryana's Bhiwani district.
"No suicide note was found. The cause of taking this extreme step is yet to be ascertained," he said.
