State-run Indian Overseas Bank on Tuesday reported a net loss of Rs 554.44 crore in the quarter ended December 31, as against Rs 1,425.06 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The lender was able to bring down the loss in the quarter under review by 61.09 per cent. Its total income for the quarter stood at Rs 5,599.50 crore while its interest income was at Rs 4,881.49 crore.
Gross NPA, as on December 31, was at Rs 34,502.13 crore with ratio of 22.42 percent. Gross non-performing asset slightly reduced during the quarter, however, the increase in percentage is mainly on account of reduction in asset size.
The lender said its total deposit was at Rs 2,10,861 crore as on December 31 while its CASA was at 36.19 per cent.
