Guided missile destroyer INS Rana has reached Jeju in South Korea to participate in the International Fleet Review (IFR) being held from October 8 to 15, the Indian Navy said on Wednesday.
The warship is currently on operational deployment to the northwest Pacific region in pursuance of India's 'Act East Policy'.
During the seven-day visit, INS Rana, commanded by Captain Atul Deswal, will have a series of confidence-building engagements with Korean Navy and other foreign navies participating in the IFR.
The ship will actively participate in the engagements related to IFR. A naval contingent will be part of the opening ceremony. The ship will also be a part of various other sports, cultural events and will host reception on board as per the IFR schedule, the Navy said in a release.
