Stevan Jovetic scored a second-half goal to help Inter Milan beat Lyon 1-0 in an International Champions Cup football match here on Monday.
The Montenegro striker intercepted a Lyon pass upfield in the 74th minute and sent it to Mario Eduardo, who returned it with a cut-back pass from the bottom line to see Jovetic drive the ball past Lyon goalkeeper Mathieu Gorgelin, reports Xinhua news agency.
Inter came close to scoring in the 56th minute when a back pass from Jovetic put Gabriel Barbosa on a solo run, but the Brazilian sent the shot straight to Gorgelin.
On a sweltering night, Lyon could create no serious chance throughout the game.
