Iran to play Palestine, Qatar in Asian Cup warm-up games

Iran's national football team will play two friendly matches against Palestine and Qatar in Doha before heading to the United Arab Emirates for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

Carlos Queiroz's team is scheduled to play Palestine on December 24 and meet Qatar a week later, reports Xinhua news agency.

Iran started a training camp in Doha on December 17.

Iran have been drawn along with Iraq, Yemen and Vietnam in Group D of the AFC Asian Cup.

The 2019 AFC Asian Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates from January 5 to February 1.
