Kingston, June 14 (IANS/CMC) Jamaican quarter-miler Domonique Blake has been slapped with a six-year ban for doping by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO).
Blake tested positive for methylhexaneamine at the Jamaica Olympic Trials last year.
She finished sixth in the 400m at the trials and was suspended for nine-months in 2006.
Blake represented Jamaica at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in March last year.
Her case was adjourned in March because of the absence of one of the members of the Jamaica Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel.
Blake's six-year ban imposed Thursday takes effect days after the Jamaican government announced a 16 million Jamaican dollar budget for drug testing of athletes.
