Jharkhand assembly's budget session will begin Feb 19 and end March 7, said an official Saturday.
"The state cabinet today gave its approval for 21 proposals. The proposals include convening the state assembly budget session from Feb 19," Cabinet Secretary J.B. Tubid told reporters.
Among the other decisions taken by the state cabinet were hiking the daily remuneration for home guards from Rs.200 to Rs.300 per day and creating five new sub-divisional offices in the state.
It was also decided to create a victim welfare fund, under which one-third of the income earned by a murder convict during his sentence will be handed over to the victim's family.
The state cabinet also gave its approval for repairing and widening of many roads of the state.
