Singer John Legend will produce his first off-Broadway comedy show "3 Mics", which is written and performed by comedian Neal Brennan.
Legend, 37, will be joined by his Get Lifted Film partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius, reports aceshowbiz.com.
Directed by Drew Barr, the comedy will begin its run at the Lynn Redgrave Theater from February 23 to March 3 with tickets starting at $30.
In the comedy, Brennan demonstrates how to craft the perfect jokes.
"(It) has moments that stay with you forever," said comic John Mulaney.
Legend's foray into theater was preceded by other singers turning their attention to the stage, including Sara Bareilles, Thom Yorke, Sting, Cyndi Lauper, Sheryl Crow, John Mellencamp and David Byrne.
