Actor Suriya is happy for Karthi for he has teamed up with his mentor Mani Ratnam in upcoming Tamil romantic-drama "Kaatru Veliyidai". He says it could be his brother's dream film.
"My brother's dream film I can say! As an asst to Mani sir in 2003, as a hero now! So looking forward," Suriya posted on his Twitter page on Friday.
Karthi started his career as an erstwhile assistant to Ratnam, before taking the plunge into acting.
In the film, Karthi is tipped to be playing a pilot, and he is paired with Aditi Rao Hydari.
Also starring R.J. Balaji, the film has music by A.R. Rahman.
The makers have begun shooting the first schedule in Kashmir.
