Kenyan runners win Kinmen Marathon in Taiwan

Kenyan athletes won both men's and women's top titles at the Kinmen Marathon participated by over 3,200 runners Sunday in Taiwan's island of Kinmen.

Samson Kiptoo Bungei from Kenya claimed men's title with 2 hours, 17 minutes and 44 seconds,and Emily Chepkemoi Samoei won in the women's division by finishing the race in 2 hours, 39 minutes and 10 seconds, Xinhua reported.

Local runner Ho Chin-wen secured the third place in the men's full marathon, clocking 2 hours, 34 minutes and 28 seconds. Kinmen Marathon, now in its seventh year, includes the 42 km, 21 km and 11 km races, and a non-competitive 5-km run.
