Kevin Spacey was honoured with the award for the Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama at the 72nd Annual Golden Globes ceremony here Sunday.
After being nominated eight times, Spacey finally walked away with a Golden Globe for his performance in the US political drama television series "House of Cards".
After accepting the trophy, he said: "I can't believe I won."
He defeated Clive Owen ("The Knick"), James Spader ("The Blacklist"), Dominic West ("The Affair"), and Liev Schreiber ("Ray Donovan")
It was a first for Ruth Wilson too as she bagged the Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama award for "The Affair".
Others nominated in the same category were Viola Davis ("How to Get Away With Murder"), Claire Danes ("Homeland"), Julianna Margulies ("The Good Wife") and Robin Wright ("House of Cards").
