TV personality Khloe Kardashian faced backlash online upon sharing a tip on drinking water.
Khloe shared a tip on drinking water on photo-sharing website Instagram, reports aceshowbiz.com.
She posted an image of two bottles of water along with caption: "My water tip of the day. I try to consume about 5 to 6 litres of water a day (based off of my body weight and how much I workout this number was given to me by a nutritionist).
"Of course, this does not happen every single day but the point is I try," she said and added: "But let's be honest... Water does tend to get boring after a while. So My current obsession is infused waters. Detox water, fruit flavoured water, or fruit infused water; infused water can generally be any combination of fruits, vegetables, and herbs immersed in cold water."
"While infused water has the benefit of being full of flavour, it also has very low to no calories, making it a very powerful tool in your efforts to lose weight and gain better health. Nutrients leak out of the fruit directly into the water.
"Some nutritionists estimate that you get as much as 20 percent of the vitamin content of freshly squeezed fruit juice, all without he extra calories or fructose. check out my last tweet in regards to where I purchased these water bottles from," she added.
Her comment elicited different reactions from people.
One of them wrote: "That's called water logging and it's dangerous. 25+ cups a day isn't healthy. Please be careful. That sounds like too much water."
Another posted: "Be careful, it can damage your kidneys."
Khloe then took to micro-blogging website Twitter to address the backlash.
"For those of you commenting on me drinking too much water. I've been instructed by my nutritionist who knows my muscle vs body fat info and my activity/training level," she wrote.
"I am not encouraging anybody to drink 5 to 6 L of water. I am encouraging people to stay hydrated," Khloe added.
"Thought if I said I drink 5 to 6 litres of vodka a day then I would be attacked for it. Who knew that if I said water I would still be judged. Damned if I'm drunk damned if I'm not," she added along with some laughing emoticons.
She followed it up with a photograph of her posing at the gym wearing "YEEZUS IS A GEMINI" tee.
She captioned it: "Fact II."
