Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade arrived here Friday night following her indictment by a US grand jury for alleged visa fraud. She arrived by a US Airlines flight at after 10 p.m.
India has expelled an American diplomat in a reciprocal gesture.
Khobragade, 39, who was India's deputy consul-general in New York, was arrested on Dec 12.
