Labour inspector held for taking bribe

The Haryana vigilance team here Monday arrested a labour inspector for accepting Rs.10,000 as bribe.

Labour inspector Hariom was nabbed at his office at the Mini Secretariat here.

Ram Avtar Singla from Mewat's Nagina complained to the vigilance department that labour inspector Hariom was demanding Rs.10,000 for clearing a file regarding registration of a petrol pump.

"A team of officers, headed by Inspector Jagdish Chander, raided and arrested the accused with the sum of money," Senior Superintendent of Police Yogender Singh Nehra said.

The accused will be presented before a court Tuesday.
