Thirteen people were killed and over a dozen injured after being struck by lightning in eastern Uttar Pradesh, officials said Wednesday.
The incidents took place Tuesday after a duststorm hit many areas in the region.
While five people, including an elderly woman, were killed in Sant Kabeernagar, three died in Siddharthnagar, one in Basti and four in Campariyaganj at Gorakhpur district.
The dead in Sant Kabeernagar district have been identified as Salim, Sahurrnisha, Sufiyan, Akash and Anjani.
The injured, district officials said, were receiving treatment for serious burn injuries.
